What you should know before leaving

Language : Native English, commonly spoken are French, English and Spanish.

Official Requirements :
French or EU citizens : national ID card or valid passport.
For the rest of the world : valid passport and return or transfer ticket, no visa is required for stays up to 3 months.

Currency :
The euro is the legal currency, but US$ are also commonly used on both sides of the island.


Payments : Euro checks on the French side and all major credit cards on both sides of the island. Many ATMs are available in Marigot for cash withdrawals.
